# Terms of use

By creating an account you agree to these rules. They are there so everyone can play football safely and have fun. This is a translation; the Dutch text applies.

## Who provides TeamUpNL?

TeamUpNL is a trade name of MODEX, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 89703685, in Groningen.

## Who can join?

- You are 16 or older.
- You have one account, with your own name or a name others know you by. Don't pretend to be someone else.

- Choose your gender honestly: TeamUps for women only or men only depend on it. You can't change it yourself later; if it's wrong, get in touch.
- Keep your password to yourself. What happens with your account is your responsibility.

## Zero tolerance for objectionable content and behaviour

- Not allowed in names, photos, TeamUp notes and the chat: abuse, discrimination, racism, hate, threats, bullying, harassment, sexual or nude content, violence, spam, advertising and anything against the law.
- Also not outside the app towards players you met through TeamUpNL.

- Abusive words in the chat are filtered out automatically; names with abusive words are refused.
- See something that isn't allowed, or was someone aggressive? Report the player or the message in the app (long press, or after the game under "How was it?") and block the player if you want. Reports are anonymous: the player won't find out who made the report.

- We review reports within 24 hours. We remove content that isn't allowed and ban players who break these rules, immediately and for good if needed.

## Playing safely

- TeamUpNL brings players together on public pitches. We don't know or check the players: meet at the pitch, keep it sporting and use common sense.
- You play sports at your own risk. TeamUpNL is not liable for injuries, damage or lost belongings.

- Pitch data comes from OpenStreetMap and may be wrong. Only play where it is allowed.

## About the app

- TeamUpNL is free. We do our best to keep the app working, but can't promise it is always available or that every notification arrives.
- You can always delete your account via Profile → Delete account; we then erase all your data immediately. You can also do it without the app: see [delete your account](https://teamupnl.nl/en/delete-account/).

- What we do with your data is in the [privacy statement](https://teamupnl.nl/en/privacy/).
- We may change these terms. For big changes we'll let you know in the app.

- These terms are governed by Dutch law.
